"Dog"

It seems we have a first word... without counting "Mama" and "Dada", which have been in use in a sort of un-targeted way for some time now. Girl Baby has been very clearly saying "Dog" when she excitedly looks at (or chases) our dog, Nellie. Its pretty cool to hear a little 9-month-old say an actual word - and say it coherently! Other times when she's just chatting away making different sounds, she seems to say "Dude" - so we've been encouraging that one a bit too.
In other news, the Victoria Baby Fair has welcomed a new media sponsor - Island Parent Magazine. We are so thrilled about this, as Island Parent is well recognized as the leading family resource in Victoria, and they are really enthusiastic about the Fair. This will surely make a huge impact in getting the word out there about the fair.
And on the home front, after only 4 days on the market, we got an offer on the house! I won't give any details at this point, as the conditions haven't yet been satisfied so the sale is still pending, but everything is looking good and we're pretty certain this will go forward with no problems. Yay! (Now... on with packing and moving. Not so 'yay')
